Virtual Reality shopping may have failed to launch to our life for decades. However the current Virtual Reality technology developed dramatically. People believe that the future of Virtual Reality is poised to change the way we shop, communicate and sell products.

In addition, there is a tense competition between physical retailers and e-commerce. Some people think that Virtual Reality technology will help Physical retailers take more advantages from this competition. It is no doubt that using Virtual Reality will increase the selling channels and provide consumers a better shopping experience. Furthermore, Virtual Reality will create fun new retail models that could encourage customer go to the store.

Virtual Reality allows retail store to show their virtual products to consumers without any real products. It also enables consumers to test products before purchasing. And that has the further benefits of offering retailers insight into consumers’ behavior.

We believe that Virtual Reality shopping will transform human experience of shopping fundamentally. In addition, by doing so, the retailers who get ahead of the curve will increase their sales. For brands, they have an opportunity to take a leadership position by building a Virtual Reality shopping system . Moreover, they can engage consumers beyond physical and digital brand experience. We also think that using Virtual Reality technology is the next revolution of e-commerce. because the retailers and brands will provide fully great and related shopping experience to consumers.

Applications of Virtual Reality shopping in retail

In my opinion, Virtual Reality shopping will be used in a wide range in retail. Such as furniture, apparel, supermarket, etc. Take an example for furniture industry. If a couple want to improve their kitchen, the old method is to look around different offers from retailers. And then they will image what their kitchen looks like by buying  these things. However, if the retailer use Virtual Reality to show consumer their products, it will tell this couple what your kitchen looks like by purchasing our products.

Therefore, Virtual Reality is a good tool for retailers to present their products and provide a better shopping experience for customers. Virtual reality is now exist and can be used in retailer. But considered of high cost of this technology and immature software, it still need some time to put it into practice.
