The Rebranding of Burberry

Burberry established itself over 150 years ago. This luxurious brand is globally recognised. It aims to provide high quality fashion and long lasting clothes. You will see the trademark pattern- black, tan and red check worn worldwide. Here in Ireland, we love Burberry! How did it loose its reputation, you ask? Lets take a look! Between 1970 and 2000, Burberry had a “thuggish” name attached to it. This ” Chav ” culture became more popular throughout England. Burberry had to much exposure. Everyone and anyone was wearing it! Not something you want for a brand so expensive and luxurious. No one wants to be buy it. Burberry’s sales are now at an all time low. As a result, the companies reputation faded.
