This site provide information on various topics related to digital strategy and marketing in the digital age. It is informed by the Trinity’s students of the MSc. in Marketing and the MSc. in Digital Marketing Strategy under the guidance of Laurent Muzellec and Eamonn O’Raghallaigh. The purpose of this blog is fundamentally pedagological for both the readers and the contributors.
Dr. Laurent Muzellec is an Associate Professor in Marketing and teaches marketing management, digital marketing and digital communication at executive level (e.g. Executive MBA). He is the founder and programme director of TCD MSc. in Digital Marketing Strategy. He was a product manager of an Internet Mapping application (web 1.0!) in Paris and Internet consultant at Volkswagen. Prior to Trinity Business School, he has taught in Dublin City University Business School, ESSCA school of Management (Paris), UCD Smurfit Business School. His research interests pertain to the field of corporate brand management, fictional brands and (reverse) product placement and branding strategies in interactive media and social media marketing. His articles have appeared in several international publications including Industrial Marketing Management, Marketing Theory, the Journal of Product and Brand Management and the European Journal of Marketing. His qualification includes a BA Information and Management from Napier University (UK), a MBA from Texas A&M International University and a PhD from UCD Smurfit School of Business.
Eamonn O’Raghallaigh is managing director and founder of Digital Strategy Consultants and is a digital marketing strategist & educator based in Dublin with a passion for digital and for assisting organizations achieve their online goals though best practice techniques and priming them to drive competitive advantage through early adoption of emerging digital technologies. Eamonn teaches Digital Strategy & Implementation at Trinity Business School. He advises enterprise level organizations on digital strategy from director to board level across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Eamonn holds a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology (UCD), MSc in Neuroscience (RCSI), HDip in E-Business (NCI) and an MSc in Digital Marketing (UCD). His current research interests are in the field of consumer behavior in the online environment with special reference to digital advertising. He previously held the post of Head of Marketing & Strategy for a professional services organization and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Eamonn has the unique mix of academic and business experience with which he empowers his students to succeed in the digital world once they finish their studies.
